Description
Alice, daughter of a scarecrow shop owner, belongs to a family dedicated to creating and maintaining scarecrows. For twenty years, she regularly visited a stationary scarecrow in the field, treating him as a silent confidant and sharing her thoughts in one-sided conversations. After a storm grants the scarecrow sentience and animation, Alice becomes one of his first companions. She helps him navigate his new existence and integrate into the community. Her family's scarecrow shop provides the practical foundation enabling the scarecrow to become a handyman repairing items for the townspeople. Alice's background and consistent presence establish her as a bridge between the scarecrow and the human world. Her earlier visits demonstrate a pre-existing connection that evolves into an active friendship following his animation. This transition from passive listener to interactive friend forms a core aspect of her role in his journey of adaptation and service.
