Atsuko Enomoto is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, born on November 1, 1979. She began her career in 1998 while still in high school, after successfully auditioning for the lead role of Yukino Miyazawa in the television anime series His and Her Circumstances. This debut marked the start of a long and prolific career in the industry. In addition to voice acting, she is also a singer, making her debut as a musical artist with the single Be My Angel, which served as the opening theme for the 2001 anime Angelic Layer, in which she also starred as the protagonist Misaki Suzuhara.
Throughout her career, Enomoto has been associated with several talent agencies. She was initially a member of I'm Enterprise before moving to 81 Produce in September 2005, where she remained until 2015. Her versatility as a voice actor is evident in the wide range of characters she has portrayed. In 1999, she took on the role of the energetic android Kurumi in Steel Angel Kurumi. She is also well-known for her work in the long-running Pretty Cure franchise, voicing Mai Mishou, also known as Cure Egret and later Cure Windy, in the 2006 series Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star. She has reprised this role in numerous subsequent Pretty Cure film and series crossover events, including the Precure All Stars film series and the 2023 adult-oriented sequel, Power of Hope: PreCure Full Bloom. Another significant long-term role is Emi Sendō in the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise, a part she has played across multiple series and spin-offs since 2011.
Enomoto's filmography extends to a variety of other notable anime. She provided the voice for Triela in Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino, Sally in both Line Town and Line Offline Salaryman, and Kotoko in The Legend of Black Heaven. Her work also includes roles in Clannad as Yukine Miyazawa,.hack//SIGN as A-20, and the video game franchise Fire Emblem, where she voices the character Mist.
