Her persistence led her to stow away on Steven Stone's aircraft to follow Alain into these events, where she later helped rescue him after he was injured. A significant turning point occurred at Lysandre Labs. After Alain rejected her companionship during his battles against ten Mega Evolution users, a distraught Manon asked to be left alone. Her Chespin wandered into a restricted lab where scientists experimented on Zygarde Cores. During an equipment malfunction, Chespie rescued one core but was exposed to an energy burst, plunging into an unexplained coma. Devastated, Manon halted her travels indefinitely to care for Chespie at the lab. Lysandre vowed to find a cure, though Manon remained unaware his motives involved exploiting Mega Evolution energy. During Chespie's coma, Manon sent Alain video updates showing no significant improvement. She temporarily visited Lumiose City, encountered Clemont's Chespin, and helped return it, triggering emotional memories of Chespie while reassuring others she was coping. She later attended the Lumiose Conference to support Alain, visibly emotional during his battle against Ash. Her relief at his victory was short-lived as Team Flare's attack caused her to question Lysandre's intentions. She fled the chaos, was rescued by Professor Sycamore, and joined efforts with Serena to retrieve Chespie from Lysandre Labs. Chespie was absorbed by the Megalith during the assault but rescued by Alain and Ash. After Lysandre's defeat, Chespie awoke, resolving Manon's primary emotional struggle as she cried tears of relief and happiness. Manon's known Pokémon are Chespie, her first partner, which remains outside its Poké Ball and knows Vine Whip, Pin Missile, and Toxic. She also captured a Yellow Flower Flabébé, nicknamed Bébé or Fla-chan, using Chespie's assistance during her travels with Alain. Bébé's known move is Magical Leaf.
