Description
Daphne Lauros is a human adventurer originally compelled into the Apollo Familia. Her combat experience and leadership secured her position as a Level 2 executive and occasional commander. She resented Apollo's forceful recruitment but acknowledged his provision of resources, including her signature weapon, the lightweight rapier Fencer Laureate which aids magic casting. Following the Apollo Familia's defeat in the War Game against the Hestia Familia, she gained freedom. Daphne briefly considered joining Hestia Familia but withdrew upon learning of their massive debt. She instead joined the financially struggling Miach Familia alongside her close friend Cassandra Illion. As captain Naaza Erisuis cannot enter the Dungeon, Daphne became a primary breadwinner.

Standing 164 cm tall, Daphne possesses sharp, angular light-yellow eyes and short burgundy hair (often depicted as red in adaptations), typically styled boyishly. Her usual attire includes a collared blouse with a yellow scarf and black thigh-high boots. She exhibits a direct, no-nonsense personality, speaking bluntly to avoid unnecessary conversation and maintaining calmness under pressure. Despite her stern exterior, she deeply cares for Cassandra, constantly accompanying and protecting her. However, she dismisses Cassandra's accurate prophetic dreams as fantasies, sometimes striking her to silence her. This dynamic masks Daphne's masochistic tendency to engineer perilous situations for thrills, though she prioritizes Cassandra's safety over her own enjoyment. Her complex relationship with Apollo blends gratitude for his support with enduring hatred for his manipulation.

As an adventurer, Daphne reached Level 3 after multiple dangerous expeditions. Her notable base stats at Level 2 included Dexterity (B707), Agility (C698), and Magic (F370). Her combat style emphasizes evasion and endurance:
- Skills: Elios Passion (C-rank) boosts Agility during escapes, activating the Escape development ability for speed increases when chased. Laurus Wreath (E-rank) significantly enhances Endurance near death, slightly altering her physical appearance. Riposte (D-rank) enables precise counterattacks after deflecting blows. Abnormal Resistance (D-rank) nullifies low-tier status ailments like poison.

A pivotal development occurred during a joint expedition to the Dungeon's 25th Floor. A collapse trapped her party, forcing a life-or-death path choice. Defying her skepticism, she trusted Cassandra's dream-based guidance, later clarifying this stemmed from faith in her friend rather than the prophecy itself. This decision saved the party and solidified their bond. She later mentored Liliruca Arde in command tactics during the War Game against Freya Familia, serving as Lili's second-in-command and making strategic sacrifices like ordering tactical knockouts to ensure team survival. Within the Miach Familia, she handles logistics and delivery runs alongside Cassandra, frequently clashing with Naaza over workload but maintaining friendly ties with Hestia Familia members.
