Description
Erika, princess of the planet Baam and daughter of Emperor Leon, flees to Earth with her father and brother Richter after Baam's destruction for peace talks. Emperor Leon is poisoned during negotiations, prompting Richter to blame the Earth delegation and open fire; in the ensuing chaos, Erika accidentally causes the death of Dr. Isamu Ryuzaki while trying to restrain her brother.

Serving as a field medic for Baam forces post-negotiations, Erika suffers temporary amnesia after a spaceship accident plunges her into Earth's ocean. Kazuya Ryuzaki discovers her unconscious and nurses her back to health, unaware of her alien origins. During her memory loss, she develops deep admiration for Kazuya. Regaining her memories triggers intense guilt over her role in Dr. Ryuzaki's death and her identity as a Baam princess.

Initially shy and averse to conflict, Erika evolves into a committed pacifist, rejecting Baam beliefs of human inferiority. She carries her father's will for peace and strives to end the Earth-Baam war. Her guilt makes her perceive herself as a burden to Kazuya, leading her to distance herself despite their mutual love, which she deems forbidden by the war and their opposing sides.

Her peace commitment is tested upon learning Olban orchestrated her father's assassination and perpetuated the conflict. To avenge her father and protect Baam refugees, Erika agrees to marry Olban while secretly plotting his assassination. During the wedding, she attempts to stab him but fails, resulting in Margarete being critically wounded and Olban ordering Erika's execution. Erika demands death alongside Margarete, calling Olban a coward.

Erika shares a close bond with her caretaker Margarete, who provides emotional support and aids her relationship with Kazuya. Margarete's guidance helps Erika transform from a timid girl into a courageous leader. Following Barandock's death, Erika leads Baam refugees in New Zealand to safety. Her relationship with Richter deteriorates due to their clashing ideologies; though they reconcile briefly before his death, he initially scorns her love for a human and orders her execution for treason. Richter ultimately sacrifices himself to prevent the Baam asteroid city from crashing into Jupiter, an act that moves Erika to tears.

Erika possesses white wings enabling flight. She demonstrates leadership organizing Baam refugees and later constructs her own Mecha Warrior. While primarily nonviolent, she uses force as a last resort, such as killing Gildo to protect Kazuya and the Daimovic crew.

The war's resolution reunites Erika and Kazuya. She witnesses Richter's suicide after he disables Olban's fail-safe for the asteroid city. With the conflict ended, she remains on Earth with Kazuya, symbolizing hope for peace between humans and Baam.
