Description
Ai Ōto, a teenage girl marked by striking heterochromia—a golden-amber left eye and a deep blue right eye—endured relentless bullying that drove her to become a reclusive school refuser. Her dark blue hair, styled in a tousled bob with a persistent ahoge, features a triangular yellow hair clip above her left eye. She favors casual wear: a sunflower-adorned yellow hoodie, volleyball shorts, and chunky platform sneakers, mirroring her introverted yet pragmatic demeanor.

Her solitude fractured when she bonded with Koito Nagase, a transfer student similarly ostracized. Convinced jealousy fueled Koito’s torment, Ai tried to gather evidence but faltered in pivotal moments. Koito’s suicide amplified Ai’s guilt, propelling her into a supernatural pact involving "Wonder Eggs." These artifacts hurled her into dream realms where she fought trauma incarnations—"Seeno Evils" and "Wonder Killers"—to shield other suicide victims, bargaining for Koito’s return.

Once timid and self-doubting, Ai cultivated resolve and compassion through these trials. She allied with three girls bearing their own grief: Neiru Aonuma, Rika Kawai, and Momoe Sawaki. Her protective streak surfaced in defending Minami Suzuhara from fears and bridging Neiru’s isolation. Allies admired her selflessness, contrasting her naivety—notably about sexuality—with her burgeoning bravery.

A clash in a parallel universe exposed an Ai manipulated by teacher Mr. Sawaki, existing in a Koito-less timeline. This alternate Ai relinquished an eye to destroy a monstrous Sawaki entity, resurrecting Koito in Ai’s world—but as a stranger recalling only modeling for Sawaki’s art. Shattered, Ai changed schools yet pursued Wonder Eggs anew, now desperate to revive Neiru after her death.

In battle, Ai wields a shape-shifting four-color pen morphing into weapons like maces or sabers. Prayer beads unveil hidden foes, while Leon, a chameleon-like companion hatched from a pomander, aids her adaptability against evolving threats.

Persisting in egg missions despite fractured outcomes, Ai navigates grief’s shadow, her path oscillating between hope and despair. Once paralyzed by guilt, she channels tenacity even as tangible rewards elude her, etching a journey from fragility to fractured resilience.
