TV-Series
Description
Majic Lin is the son of Bagup, a tavern keeper in Totokanta. Bagup barters room and board for Orphen, securing Orphen's reluctant agreement to take Majic as his sorcery apprentice. Initially receiving scant formal training due to Orphen's preoccupation with the Everlasting mansion and the Sword of Baltanders, Majic nonetheless acquires sorcery skills through hands-on experience during their travels.

He appears as a young teenager with pale skin, blue eyes, and medium-length blonde hair, typically dressed in casual civilian clothes reflecting his humble origins. Majic possesses an innate kindness mixed with naivety, a brave adventurous spirit, and a deep fascination for sorcery. He holds profound admiration and implicit trust for his mentor, Orphen, despite his father's reservations about Orphen's status as a Tower of Fangs dropout. Earnestly desiring to become a powerful sorcerer like Orphen, Majic frequently battles self-doubt and lacks confidence. Orphen recognizes Majic's latent potential, offering occasional encouragement that bolsters Majic's courage and improves his magical abilities.

Majic shares a childhood bond with Claiomh Everlasting (Cleao), forged while attending the same school before her departure for boarding school. This connection endures as he journeys alongside Orphen, Cleao, and her Deep Dragon cub companion, Leki. Navigating the chaotic dynamic between Orphen and Cleao, Majic steadily hones his sorcery. His significant magical aptitude is later revealed to originate from a rare inherited trait: vampire physiology from his mother, Iris Lin, a sorceress and assassin reputed to rival Childman in power. This heritage grants Majic exceptional magical potential that eventually exceeds Orphen's own.

Progressing through his training across numerous adventures, Majic evolves from an anxious apprentice into a proficient sorcerer. By the conclusion of the original novel series, he achieves renown as a world-class sorcerer. His legacy includes taking on Ratsbane, the firstborn child of Orphen and Cleao, as his own apprentice, cementing his role in perpetuating sorcerous knowledge.
