Rose Patterson, a refugee from the Moon after the Lunar Empire of Giganos declares independence, escapes to the neutral Alucard space colony. At sixteen years old, she radiates warmth and charm while assuming responsibility as a supervisor for refugee children aboard the colony. When Giganos attacks Alucard, she seeks refuge aboard the Earth Alliance ship *Idaho*.
