Description
Eve is the central protagonist of the story, a gifted young golfer known for her aggressive and powerful playing style. Her full name is Evangeline Burton, though she is most commonly referred to as Eve, and she also uses aliases such as Eve Aleon and Evangeline F. Kimishima at different points. She is a teenager with long, unkempt blonde hair and blue eyes, and a prominent scar on her temple is usually hidden by her hair. This scar is a result of an incident in her childhood that caused her to lose her memories.

Eve's background is one of hardship and survival. She was born in the European nation of Nafrece. As a young child, she survived a disaster at sea that claimed the lives of her parents, Kazuhiko Hodaka and Eleanor Burton. Washed ashore with no memory of her past except her first name, she was found and taken in by Klein Clara and her younger sister Lily Lipman, who became her adoptive family. The family lived in the slums, where Klein ran a small bar. To support them, Eve began playing in high-stakes, underground golf matches, betting on her own skills to earn money. Before this, she had been trained in golf by a legendary player named Leo Millafoden, who taught her his powerful techniques but eventually disappeared, leaving her to fend for the family on her own.

Eve has a tough and resilient personality forged by her difficult life on the streets. She is generally calm and collected, even under immense pressure, and is known for her rough manner of speaking. Despite her brash and sometimes rude exterior, she has a heart of gold and cares deeply for her adoptive family and friends, becoming fiercely protective of them when they are threatened. She is a natural charmer and a magnetic presence who attracts people to her without always being aware of it, though she can also be hot-headed when angered. Eve hates having her time wasted and is a challenge seeker, driven by a desire to face strong opponents.

Her primary motivation throughout the story is ignited by a fateful encounter with Aoi Amawashi, a Japanese prodigy from a wealthy family. After Aoi defeats her in a single hole, Eve becomes obsessed with the idea of playing a full match against her and proving her own strength. This desire drives her to follow Aoi to Japan, where she enrolls at the prestigious Raiou Girls Academy as a foreign exchange student. Eve’s role in the story is as the wild, untamed force of nature who clashes with and is ultimately changed by the refined, orderly world of elite, sanctioned golf that Aoi represents. Her journey takes her from the criminal underworld of golf in Nafrece to the competitive high school and professional circuits in Japan.

A key relationship is with Aoi, who serves as both her rival and her main source of inspiration. Their connection is immediate and profound; they are portrayed as opposites in nearly every way, from their backgrounds and playing styles to their personalities. While Aoi is a natural talent who plays with grace, Eve relies on raw power and intimidation. Their rivalry pushes both to grow and evolve as golfers. Another significant relationship is with her trainer, Leo Millafoden, whose teachings form the basis of her golf style. Eve also forms a close friendship with Ichina Saotome, a knowledgeable but flighty girl at Raiou who becomes her partner and caddy. Her connection to her past and her family legacy is a critical part of her development. Over the course of the series, Eve begins to recover her lost memories, learning the truth about her parents: her father was a famous Japanese golfer and her mother was the daughter of Michael Burton, a powerful figure in the Nafrece golf mafia. This revelation recontextualizes her life and connects her personal journey to a larger, hidden history within the golfing world.

Eve’s most notable abilities are her incredibly powerful and physics-defying golf shots, which she names her "bullets". Her signature shot is the Blue Bullet, a perfectly straight driver shot with immense speed and momentum. Her arsenal includes other named shots like the Heavenly Red Bullet for high-elevation plays, the Green Bullet for powerful putts, the Escaping Yellow Bullet for sand bunkers, the Water Dragon's Indigo Bullet to skip across water hazards, and the Purple Bullet, a slice shot she learned from Aoi. Her ultimate techniques are derived from her two mentors, Leo Millafoden and her father Kazuhiko. The Rainbow Shot is her father's technique, which uses a special spin on the ball to make it travel farther upon landing. The Rainbow Bullet Burst is a fusion of Leo's power and Kazuhiko's spin, and it is considered a dangerous forbidden technique that can cause permanent physical harm to her if overused. Later, she develops her own original shot, Over the Rainbow, and a combination technique with Aoi called the Shining Rainbow Burst. Her entire approach to golf is one of brute-force intimidation, where she aims to overwhelm her opponents with the sheer power of her play, causing them to lose confidence and falter.
