Description
Eve exists as an EL-Diver, a unique entity within Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN). She possesses the ability to understand and communicate with Gunpla on an emotional level, a trait shared with her sister Sarah. Kind and gentle, Eve shows deep concern for both people and Gunpla. Her most significant relationship is with Hiroto Kuga, whom she met in GBN two years before the main events. They formed a close, irreplaceable bond during that time, with Eve keeping her EL-Diver identity secret from him; this period remains Hiroto's most precious memory.
Eve secretly worked to fix bugs within GBN caused by the existence of herself and Sarah. These bugs manifested as corrupted versions of Sarah in black, which Eve absorbed into herself. This absorption visibly pained her and eventually transformed her into a massive, game-breaking bug threatening GBN's stability. To prevent further damage and ensure Sarah's survival, Eve chose to sacrifice herself. She requested Hiroto delete her data to reduce the load on GBN's systems. Before her erasure, she asked Hiroto to help other EL-Divers like her.
Her sacrifice had lasting repercussions. During the Second Coalition of Volunteers battle, Hiroto nearly shot Riku and the damaged Gundam 00 Sky, which would have prevented Riku from reaching Sarah. Recalling Eve's final request, he adjusted his aim, sparing them. This act indirectly allowed the events saving GBN and Sarah to unfold. Eve's influence persists through May, another EL-Diver and BUILD DiVERS member. May carries a pendant identical to the unique earring Hiroto gifted Eve, implying her creation from Eve's residual data. Visual and narrative parallels reinforce this connection, including May's role in helping Hiroto confront his trauma over Eve's deletion.
Additionally, an Ancient depicted in flashbacks from the planet Eldora bears a strong resemblance to an older Eve with black hair and shares the same voice actress, suggesting a deeper, potentially ancestral or data-based connection between Eve and Eldora's history. Eve's legacy underscores themes of sacrifice, data consciousness, and the blurred lines between virtual and real existence within the GBN universe.
