Description
Rino Nanahoshi is the twin brother of Rayne Nanahoshi. Both siblings serve as assistants to Gavin Sogetsu, the student council president at Goha 7th Elementary, with Rino holding the position of student council secretary. Their family has served the Sogetsu family for generations as ninja.

He possesses fair skin, hazel eyes, and severely styled orange hair. He wears rectangular glasses with a red half-frame. His typical attire consists of a teal waistcoat, a green sleeveless top over a white shirt, a blue tie, grey shorts, knee-length blue socks, and brown slip-on shoes. When supporting Gavin during Sogetsu-style duels or assisting Romin Kassidy with cooking, Rino wears Kuroko stagehand clothing: a charcoal veil, grey top and pants, black tunic and shoes, and a red sash. For Goha Corporation duties, he wears their employee uniform: a grey sleeveless vest, blue shirt over a grey undershirt, black pants and shoes, and a belt with the Goha logo. After transferring to Goha 6th Elementary, he wears their blue track uniform with white details and a red "6" emblem.

Rino demonstrates unwavering loyalty to Gavin, vigorously defending their relationship against perceived mockery. Initially, he attempts to dissuade Gavin from Rush Duels, viewing them as a distraction, but gradually develops an appreciation for the format. He later assists efforts to prevent Yuga Ohdo's disqualification during a duel with Roa Kassidy. Rino shares a close bond with his sister Rayne, often understanding her without words, yet he intervenes when her frequent romantic misinterpretations (termed "Rayne Eyes") risk embarrassment. Ironically, Rino himself develops brief crushes, like one on Romin Kassidy after she thanks him and touches his shoulder.

He consistently supports Gavin through various events. Rino aids in investigating Otes' legitimacy regarding the card "Sevens Road Magician" during Yuga's duel with Roa. When Gavin suffers memory loss related to Rush Duels, Rino participates in recreating the format's inception and duels Gavin directly to help restore his memories, losing the match. He views Gavin's temporary transformation into the rapper persona DJ G as embarrassing the Sogetsu legacy. When Rayne briefly leaves Gavin's service to join Nail Saionji, Rino chooses to remain loyal.

Rino duels using a Flower Fang deck focused on Plant-type monsters, differing slightly from his sister's version. His strategy emphasizes destruction effects and burn damage. Known cards include "Flowerfang Crest Stella," "Flowerfang Shinobi Gatling," "Flowerfang Armor Clematis," "Flowerfang Comeback," and "Flowerfang Snowstorm." His recorded duels include a draw against Rayne, a loss to Gavin, and participation in duels against Galian Townsend during the Goha 6th Elementary arc.
