A decade later, Meliodas reunited with Elizabeth's latest incarnation and his scattered comrades to clear their names and liberate Liones from a Holy Knight coup masterminded by the demon Fraudrin. Throughout this quest, Meliodas constantly battled his resurging demonic nature, triggered by each death – notably reverting to cold ruthlessness after being slain by Estarossa. Their son, Tristan, inherited Meliodas's demonic heritage and Elizabeth's goddess powers. Years later, in the events of Grudge of Edinburgh, Meliodas governs Liones peacefully alongside Elizabeth. When Elizabeth falls victim to Deathpierce's curse, Meliodas remains at her side while Tristan journeys to Edinburgh. Meliodas later joins Ban and Gowther there to eradicate Deathpierce's army of Empties, aiding the final confrontation that saves Elizabeth and restores family harmony.
