Description
Meliodas, a three-thousand-year-old demon, retains the appearance of a youthful adolescent with blond hair, emerald eyes, and a muscular frame. A dragon symbol etched on his left bicep denotes his title as the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath, though his cheerful, mischievous demeanor and penchant for bawdy humor mask this legacy. Beneath his lighthearted exterior simmers explosive rage when allies are endangered, fueled by lingering guilt over past failures, including the annihilation of Danafor, a kingdom he once vowed to protect.

Born the Demon King’s eldest son, Meliodas commanded the Ten Commandments during the Holy War until his loyalty fractured upon loving Elizabeth, a goddess. His betrayal incurred twin curses: immortality condemning him to witness Elizabeth’s endless cycle of death and rebirth, and her own curse of resurrection imposed by the Supreme Deity. Centuries of striving to dismantle these curses forged his resolve to prioritize mercy over violence, despite his history as a wartime leader.

As captain of the Seven Deadly Sins, Meliodas reassembles the group to defend Liones. His combat prowess hinges on Full Counter, a magic-reflecting technique, and demonic transformations that amplify strength while eroding emotional restraint. Wielding Lostvayne, a sacred treasure that generates clones, he employs strategic ingenuity in battle. Though his Demon Mark occasionally triggers ruthless impulses reminiscent of his tyrannical past, he resists surrendering to this inherited brutality.

In *Prisoners of the Sky*, Meliodas embarks on a celestial realm conflict against the Six Knights of Black. Mistaken for a celestial figure, he battles the faction while navigating ties to ancient lore, including the Indura—a sealed demon linked to celestial history—showcasing his adaptability and tactical acumen.

Following the Holy War, Meliodas absorbs the Ten Commandments to usurp the Demon King’s throne, ultimately defeating his father and sacrificing his demonic power to end the curses. He marries Elizabeth, fathers a son named Tristan, and ascends as Liones’ ruler, shedding millennia of torment. His journey weaves playful levity with enduring sorrow, anchored by an unyielding quest for redemption and a future free from loss.
