Description
Derieri, an elite warrior of the Demon Clan, wields the Commandment of Purity under the Demon King. Her striking appearance features long, spiky orange-blonde hair, demonic markings etching her left cheek, and a body partially shrouded in darkness-forged armor. Her left arm and right leg, reconstructed from shadow after past battles, underscore her resilience. A pivotal battle shortens her hair, echoing her visage from 3,000 years prior.

Initially laid-back yet apathetic, Derieri harbors a volatile temper, particularly when confronted with mentions of her sister’s death or encounters with the Goddess Clan. Interactions with humans and the loss of her steadfast companion Monspeet gradually soften her into a more introspective, compassionate figure. Her speech retains a blunt edge, peppered with phrases like "to say from the ass."

Her past is etched by the Holy War, where her sister and fellow demons fell to Archangel Ludociel during a doomed negotiation with the Goddess Elizabeth. This slaughter ignited her enduring hatred for the Goddess Clan. Alongside Monspeet, she sacrificed six of their seven hearts to become Indura—entities of pure destruction—only to be purified by Elizabeth’s magic. Though spared by Meliodas, she long resented him for his betrayal of their clan.

In the present, her bond with Monspeet becomes her emotional cornerstone. Fleeing the Ten Commandments, they find fleeting peace in a human village, revealing her capacity for loyalty and tenderness. This tranquility shatters when Estarossa murders Monspeet, driving her into a fragile alliance with Elizabeth and the Seven Deadly Sins. Together, they confront Estarossa and Mael, whose fatal blow ends her life—but not before she aids in Mael’s redemption. Posthumously, Mael reincarnates her as Thetis, a human offering her peace beyond eternal clan strife.

A close-quarters combatant, Derieri employs the Combo Star technique, escalating attack power with each strike. Her Commandment paralyzes those harboring hatred, though its use wanes in later tales. She endures brutal injuries, surviving assaults from archangels and magical onslaughts.

Her dynamic with Meliodas shifts from hostility to grudging respect, while her alliance with Elizabeth challenges deep-seated animosities. Collaborations with King and Gowther during missions further integrate her into efforts to end the Holy War.

Derieri’s arc culminates in redemption, her reincarnation as Thetis symbolizing a rupture in the cycle of vengeance. Once driven by rage, she emerges a bridge between clans through sacrifice, embodying mercy and the fragile hope of reconciliation.
