Description
Galdandy emerges as a minor antagonist within the narrative, a Dragon Rider initially presented with a ruthless disposition that relishes violence against humans. His brutality is highlighted by the unprovoked annihilation of Bengara, defying protests from his comrades. This action diverges in the 2020 anime adaptation, where he hesitates to assault the country after being summoned.

Contrasting his merciless nature is a genuine attachment to his dragon companion, Ruud. The creature’s death at Popp’s hands ignites an obsessive quest for revenge, driving Galdandy to abandon tactical priorities for personal vengeance. His combat style capitalizes on aerial dominance, leveraging his dragon’s agility to outmaneuver foes.

Consumed by rage after Ruud’s demise, Galdandy confronts Popp, overwhelming him temporarily by siphoning his magical energy. However, Popp’s enhanced flight spell and calculated close-range deployment of the Boom spell reverse the battle, culminating in Galdandy’s defeat and fatal downfall.

Summoned by Baran to obstruct Dai’s allies, Galdandy frequently disregards group strategies in favor of impulsive actions. His narrative function remains confined to that of an adversarial hurdle, with no elaboration on his origins or motivations beyond immediate confrontations.
