Description
Charlotte Eristein is the royal princess of the Elistein Magic Kingdom, the daughter of King Gilmar. She possesses platinum blonde hair and blue eyes, typically wearing a white dress accented with grey lines, blue earrings, and a distinctive wing-shaped crown.

She embodies kindness and a strong sense of responsibility towards the kingdom's citizens. Acting on her father's command, she performed a summoning ritual to bring Taichi Nishimura alone from another world as a protector against the impending civil war. Blood from an assassin's knife contaminated the magic circle during the ritual, causing the unintended simultaneous summoning of Rin Azuma alongside Taichi. This accident instilled in Charlotte persistent guilt and a deep sense of personal responsibility for involving both individuals in Elistein's conflict. Consequently, she prioritizes their safety and is committed to finding a way to return them to their original world.

As a magician, Charlotte wields unique time and space manipulation abilities, unlike conventional practitioners. Her most significant application of this magic is the complex summoning process requiring specific conditions to call individuals from other worlds, which directly brought Taichi and Rin to Altianutz.

Within the kingdom's political landscape, her actions support King Gilmar's strategy to counter his brother Duke Dortesheim Eristein's rebellion. This looming civil war is driven by traditionalist factions opposing the king's policies of sharing magical knowledge with neighboring realms, making Taichi's summoned power crucial for preserving stability. Following their arrival, Charlotte openly explains the summoning circumstances to Taichi and Rin, formally apologizes for the unintended consequences, and reaffirms her dedication to aiding their return home.

Her involvement extends beyond the initial summoning. She interacts directly with Taichi and Rin after their arrival, participates in key discussions at the palace alongside their mentor Lemia, and remains connected to their ongoing journey through the kingdom's conflicts.
