OVA
Description
Rabi stands as one of three primary protagonists throughout the *Madō King Granzort* franchise, appearing in the television series, the *Final Magical Battle* OVA, and subsequent OVAs.

He possesses a tall build, light skin, long messy blonde hair, and an X-shaped scar on his cheek. Rabi typically conceals his rabbit-like ears, depicted as white or light tan, beneath a white headband. His standard outfit includes a light blue T-shirt with dark blue trim, matching pants, thigh-high dark blue boots, a white sash over one shoulder, and white fingerless gloves.

Initially marked by pronounced distrust and self-centeredness, Rabi exhibits a rude, aloof demeanor, especially towards Daichi and Gus. This stems from years of isolation without known family or friends before the series, leading him to prefer solitude. His disposition manifests through attempts to one-up Daichi and prolonged resistance to acknowledging them as comrades.

His heritage is later revealed as Marius von Ramas, grandson of V-Ramas—one of the Long-Eared Tribe's three grandmages. Expanded lore identifies him as a half-breed, inheriting magical prowess from his Long-Eared father and human Earthling mother, granting him greater innate magic potential than pure-blooded Long-Ears. This lineage becomes pivotal when V-Ramas is unmasked as Lord Agramant, leader of the antagonistic Jadou Clan, who brainwashes Rabi to awaken the Great Lord of Darkness and assassinate his friends. Rabi breaks free only after the Black Warrior—revealed as his mother, Sayuri—intervenes against Lord Agramant.

As the chosen Madou Warrior of Water, Rabi wields a magic top to summon and pilot Aquabeat, the water- and ice-elemental Madou King. His combat style and mecha abilities complement Daichi (Earth/Fire) and Gus (Wind/Lightning). Across the series, Rabi evolves from isolation to valuing teamwork, evidenced by his return during battle after abandoning the group in doubt. By the climax, he willingly risks his life alongside allies to defeat the Great Lord of Darkness.

In the *Non-Stop Rabi* television special, serving as a series finale, Rabi participates in concluding events immediately following the television narrative. Later, in the *Adventure Story* OVA, he reunites with supporting characters Ozero and Domino to pursue a hijacked space shuttle transporting a dangerous Mado Stone, confronting Norman Bates space pirates alongside the other warriors.

His relationships feature a complex dynamic with his grandfather, V-Ramas/Lord Agramant, and a protective bond with his mother, Sayuri, whose actions enable his redemption. While V-Mei and Guri Guri do not appear in the OVAs, Rabi's interactions with Daichi and Gus shift from rivalry to unwavering loyalty by the story's conclusion.
