Description
Sango is a female tabby cat Jewelpet from Jewel Land. She sports yellow fur with brown stripes, pastel red or light red jewel eyes crafted from scarlet corals, and distinct accessories: a red ribbon with a white flower on her head and a grey pearl necklace featuring a strawberry-shaped coral jewel. Her early appearances show her carrying a pink twirling ribbon. Representing the power of Protection in franchise lore, her magic safeguards humans and their families, though the first series assigns her the power of Luck to convert misfortune into good fortune. Her personality blends brightness and high energy with occasional dimwittedness and an easygoing nature. A defining trait, established after the first series and recurring across seasons, is her profound love for sweets and desserts.

Debuting in episode 31 of the first *Jewelpet* series, she awakens during a cultural festival as human Lyrica Himeno expresses self-doubt. Tasked with purifying a dark magic footprint, her initial attempt fails due to misidentifying its location, but she succeeds upon correction. In *Jewelpet Twinkle☆*, she becomes one of magician Miria Marigold Mackenzie's partners alongside Garnet, having met Miria while home alone. Transitioning to *Jewelpet Sunshine*, she joins the Rose Class at Sunshine Academy, frequently seen with teacher Jill Konia and rooming with Komachi Saotome, sharing Komachi's dessert obsession. This season includes a brief crush on Jasper or Mikage and culminates in her brainwashing by the Dark Queen in episode 49, resulting in a robotic duplicate. The season's epilogue reveals her co-owning the Parisian sweet shop Raspberry Caffe with Komachi.

Her role in *Jewelpet Kira☆Deco!* is minimal, limited to a cameo in episode 1 walking near Ruby's Kira-Kira Shop with Nephrite, serving as a judge in episode 39 alongside Rald, and narrating select episodes. In *Jewelpet Happiness*, she works as a school nurse treating characters like Marie Hanazono and Garnet, and forms the "Sweets Angel" trio with Sakuran and Rosa to create Magic Gems. The film *Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess* features her visiting Sweetsland, where she passionately declares her "Sweets Lover" identity, though her enthusiasm is surpassed by Gumimin's obsession. *Jewelpet Magical Change* depicts her managing a café, initially displaying selfishness over food but later demonstrating generosity by serving soup to customers. This series also grants her a human form as a young girl with short brown hair, a yellow hat, and a lemon-yellow dress with red sleeves.

Later cameos include background appearances in *Lady Jewelpet* and a class reunion in *Jewelpet Magical Change* episode 32. Her design and narrative focus remain consistent across media, emphasizing her sweet-centric personality and protective magic without evolving into a primary storyline driver.
