Description
Kin'u is the daughter of Miroku and Sango, born in Kaede's village, and the twin sister of Gyokuto. She is the elder sister of Hisui. Unlike her siblings, Kin'u pursued her father's path, cultivating her inherent spiritual and Buddhist powers to become a Buddhist nun, known as an "Ama".

During her childhood, Kin'u displayed typical toddler curiosity and playfulness. She and Gyokuto often called Inuyasha "Doggy" and petted his ears, annoying him. The twins also enjoyed roughhousing with Shippō, an activity Inuyasha jokingly called "slaying the fox". Kin'u witnessed significant family events like the birth of her brother Hisui and Kagome's return through the Bone-Eater's Well.

As a young adult, Kin'u developed an outgoing, playful, and cheerful personality, retaining a childlike exuberance. She openly teased her father about his training methods and reacted defensively when Hisui implied she was less brave than Towa. Kin'u demonstrated a manipulative streak by convincing Hisui to take her place for Princess Aiya's etiquette lessons. Despite maturing, she and Gyokuto continued their playful interactions with the wary Shippō.

Physically, Kin'u strongly resembled her mother and twin sister, possessing short dark brown hair, bright brown eyes, and fair skin. As a child, she wore her hair in a small ponytail secured with a white ribbon and dressed in a light green kimono with a rose-colored sash. In adulthood, she maintained a similar hairstyle casually or wore a bob cut as a nun. Her attire consisted of a larger version of her childhood kimono or a nun's saffron sash, dark blue robe, white undergarment, and fuchsia beaded necklace. She consistently wore brown woven sandals.

Kin'u developed middle-level Buddhist powers, specializing in sealing techniques using sacred sutras infused with spiritual energy. Her sealing abilities were less effective than Miroku's; when reapplying his seal on Setsuna, a visible streak remained on Setsuna's arm, and Setsuna reported ongoing discomfort from her demonic blood – issues absent under Miroku's seal. Kin'u used her sutras in combat, such as immobilizing an octopus demon attacking Princess Aiya, though her sutras lacked the blue spiritual aura characteristic of her father's powers.

Kin'u and Gyokuto were collectively nicknamed "KinGyo" by their parents and close acquaintances. Her name, meaning "Golden Crow," derives from a Chinese idiom referencing celestial bodies, suggesting Miroku's inspiration for naming both twins. Her childhood and adult roles were depicted during key events, including Rin giving birth to Towa and Setsuna, and her later activities distributing spiritual protections as a nun.
