Description
Dred (alternately spelled Dread) serves as second-in-command to guild master Payne within the prominent Congregation of the Holy Swords guild in NewWorld Online. He possesses dark skin, short black hair, black eyes, and stands 167 cm tall, with long, nimble limbs enabling his agility-focused combat style. His sharp intuition frequently guides tactical decisions during gameplay.

Ranked second in the game's first official event, Dred specializes in high-speed dagger combat, earning the nickname "Godspeed." His signature abilities include Super Acceleration (temporarily boosting agility by 50 points with a 30-minute cooldown) and Shinsoku (Godspeed), which renders him invisible for 10 seconds through divinely accelerated movement. He also possesses an unnamed survival skill that automatically preserves 1 HP against lethal damage. His monster companion, Shadow, is a black wolf with shadow-based abilities aiding evasion and dungeon navigation.

During the guild competition arc, Dred's instincts identified Sally as a significant threat, prompting his retreat. Later, he attempted to raid Maple Tree's guild base but underestimated Mai and Yui's strength, triggering his survival skill. Maple's intervention prevented his theft of their guild orb, resulting in his defeat.

Dred participated in the Congregation of the Holy Swords' coordinated assault on Maple Tree during the fourth event, transferring his Godspeed ability to Payne. He was ultimately captured and eliminated when Maple activated her Atrocity skill. Despite this conflict, Maple later added him to her friend list, and he attended Maple Tree's post-event celebration.

During the eighth event's preliminary round, Dred teamed with fellow guild member Drag to accumulate points, confronting and attempting to eliminate Kanade. In the main event, he partnered with Payne before forming a temporary alliance with Maple Tree and Flame Emperors members. This coalition cleared a dungeon with Marx, Mai, and Yui—utilizing Shadow to bypass monsters—and defeated an Electric Catfish boss. The alliance culminated in a three-guild effort to subdue the eldritch entity Cthulhu.

Dred maintains a close rapport with Payne, frequently collaborating on strategic initiatives. His combat approach prioritizes evasion and rapid strikes, though it remains vulnerable to opponents who anticipate his movements or withstand his initial assault.
