Description
Daiki Takao is a sixteen-year-old character who serves as the center and leader of the boy band Legit within the agency sMiLea. He was born on January 30th, making his zodiac sign Aquarius, and his blood type is O. Standing at 170 centimeters tall and weighing 62 kilograms, Daiki is noted to be relatively short in stature compared to the other members of his agency. Physically, he has dark hair accented with distinctive pink highlights positioned in front of his ears, and his typical expression is often a frown, contributing to his cool and aloof outward appearance. His fashion sense is diverse, with a common preference for sleeveless shirts or tops with the sleeves rolled up.

Despite his seemingly cold and unfriendly exterior, Daiki possesses an intense and unmatched passion for dance. He is well-known for his sharp and nasty tongue, yet this abrasive personality trait is tempered by a deep-seated love for his craft that surpasses that of almost anyone else. As an Aquarius, he is said to have a free-spirited mindset and a unique perspective that captivates those around him, while his O blood type suggests he can occasionally show a sociable side. He is known to have fears of spiders and ghosts.

Before his debut as a member of Legit, Daiki was already a seasoned performer. He was a member of the Groovy Production Agency, where he developed his skills and was recognized as their star dancer from a young age. During this time, he worked as a backup dancer for the senior artist AneLa and also released his own music as a solo artist, establishing his unique style. His dedication to dance was evident from his childhood; he would practice after hours on a sidewalk beside a less-used street, a location where he was first noticed by his future bandmate and close friend, Eishiro Nijo. This shared history forms the basis of their deep bond, as they have known each other since they were children. The relationship between Daiki and Eishiro is a significant one, rooted in mutual respect and a long history of training and performing together.

In the story, Daiki commands attention with his stage presence, which has been described as being so powerful that it resembles the main character of a hero anime. This presence serves as a source of inspiration for other characters, motivating them to improve during their own lessons and performances. When the protagonist group is given the opportunity to act as backup dancers for Legit, Daiki and his group take on the role of teachers, providing one-on-one dance lessons. His role is that of a talented and somewhat intimidating senior figure whose abilities and passion push newer artists to grow, while his unwavering commitment to dance drives his own actions and motivations within the group Legit.
