Movie
Description
Sharon (known as Karen in the Japanese version of Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle) works as a researcher for the Biotope Company, assisting Professor Zed in studying the Forest of Okoya's healing springs. Her research leads her to uncover Zed's true, unethical intentions: exploiting the regenerative Heart Tree and harming the Zarude troop, rather than legitimate science. Discovering Zed's harmful agenda, including deploying machinery to extract the Heart Tree's energy, causes Sharon to sever her association with the Biotope Company.
She later witnesses Zed planting a tracking device on Koko to locate the Heart Tree, demonstrating his disregard for Pokémon and former colleagues who opposed him. Sharon possesses background knowledge of Koko's biological parents, Chrom and Phossa Molybdenum, who were Zed's former colleagues. They had previously discovered the Heart Tree but halted their research out of respect for the Zarude, a decision Zed rejected due to his belief in human superiority. Sharon assists in verifying Koko's identity by scanning his pendant, which holds corrupted data and an image of the Heart Tree, linking him to his parents' work. Her narrative concludes with her dissociation from Zed's operations and implied alignment with protecting the jungle.
