Description
Hana, also called Hana-chan, originated as a magical baby born from the Blue Rose in the Witch Queen's garden, designating her as the future Witch Queen. Witnessed at birth by Doremi Harukaze and her friends, witch law assigned them responsibility for raising her. First appearing as an infant in *Ojamajo Doremi Sharp*, she wore a white one-piece outfit with her hair styled in a ponytail resembling a sprouting leaf.

In *Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi*, Hana adopted pigtails secured by colorful baubles and wore a pink one-piece with a white bib. During this time, a curse from the former Witch Queen, Majo Tourbillon, afflicted her, causing an intense dislike for vegetables essential for her magical growth. This aversion jeopardized her health and magical development, compelling Doremi and the others to help her overcome it.

Hana's personality exhibits childish innocence and a generally kind, big-hearted nature. She expresses deep affection for her caretakers, whom she calls "mommies," often seeking attention or comfort, particularly from Doremi, the first person she saw upon birth. Her simple-mindedness and young mental age sometimes lead to selfishness, rudeness, or unintentionally worsening situations. She speaks in the third person and greets others with "Chīsu!"—a phrase adopted by others. Despite occasional tantrums, her naivety allows her to form friendships easily.

In *Ojamajo Doremi Dokkān!*, Hana used her magic to age herself into a sixth-grader, physically matching Doremi and the others. This act transformed the Maho-do into a crafts shop and shattered her magical crystals, requiring the other witch apprentices to supply her with energy. As a school-aged character, she wore a casual outfit: a white shirt with wing-like sleeves, denim shorts with heart-shaped pockets, and orange-and-white sneakers with pink pom-poms. Her hair remained in long lemon pigtails secured by pink scrunchies featuring white wings.

Her magical abilities evolved significantly; in *Dokkān!*, she could perform magic without verbal spells, though she occasionally used them for fun. Her spells included the transformation chant "Pretty Witch Hana-chan-cchi!" and "Pororin Pyuarin Hanahana Pii!" Despite losing her initial crystal balls, she demonstrated surplus magical ability compared to others.

Hana's relationships are central to her development. She shares a profound bond with Doremi, viewing her as a primary maternal figure due to their initial connection. Hazuki provides handmade items, while Aiko balances sternness with affection. Onpu offers bonding during limited time together. Momoko, initially distant due to her late introduction, became a classmate and friend in *Dokkān!*. Pop acts as an older sister figure, though occasional envy arises between them.

Her story concludes with her return to the Witch World to fulfill her destiny as the future Witch Queen, facilitated by Majo Rika after the other girls chose to relinquish their magical potential to remain human.
