Description
Alma, a freelance Nemesis Hunter, straddles the roles of mentor and foster parent to Seth following a mysterious attack that left her with amnesia. Found gravely injured and clutching Seth protectively by a physician, she sacrificed her right arm to halt a Nemesis infection’s spread, awakening with no recollection of her past. Initially perceiving Seth as an obligation, she embarked on a reluctant journey to trace their origins, her guarded demeanor softening into maternal devotion after villagers attempted to burn him alive. This trauma spurred her to construct the Observatory, a floating sanctuary shielding him from threats.

Her dark brown hair is tamed into a voluminous, unruly ponytail fastened by a white-and-purple scrunchy, accentuated by piercings beneath her lip, above her right brow, and on both ears. She dons a purple vest over an orange blouse, loose harem pants, and jester-style shoes, complemented by a sash belt laden with enchanted trinkets and vials.

Alma merges sharp authority with unspoken compassion, wielding sarcasm and volatile displays to intimidate adversaries, cementing a formidable reputation even among entities like Yaga. Though ruthless, she seeks redemption for those she deems salvageable, exemplified by recruiting the Bravery Quartet. Her protectiveness toward Seth borders on overbearing—limiting his education and magic training to conceal him from danger—yet stems from fierce loyalty.

Pivotal moments trace her shift from aloof guardian to devoted caregiver. During the Pompo Hills arc, she leaps into action to rescue Seth from villagers and a Nemesis, later steering him toward the Artemis Institute to confront the Radiant. In Rumble Town, she anchors him after a crisis, fortifying his resolve by underscoring the value of his choices. Manga-exclusive lore ties her chronic migraines to Seth’s berserk episodes, while her tactical use of parchment seals traps foes mid-conflict.

As a Sorcerer, Alma brandishes a Feather Blade halberd and casts potent Repulse spells, bolstered by physical resilience enabling brief Nemesis contact. Magical seals serve as her preferred containment method. A lingering curse sporadically overwhelms her with agony, flaring during Seth’s uncontrolled power spikes. Though her full combat prowess remains underexplored, survival instincts and strategic precision define her engagements.

Her bond with Seth matures from pragmatic guardianship to reciprocal trust, granting him autonomy while remaining his steadfast safeguard. Despite misgivings, she champions his mission to dismantle the Radiant, reconciling with his inevitable independence. Their dynamic cements her influence on his ethics, stressing that humanity is forged through action, not destiny.
