Description
Vega serves as vice-commander of GEAR, Earth's defense force against the mechanical Galfa Empire. Her true identity is Orie Kusanagi, mother of protagonist Hokuto Kusanagi. She maintains this dual life through disguise: as Vega, she conceals her natural turquoise hair and eyes with a mask, blonde wig, and contacts; as Orie, she uses hair dye to present as an ordinary human.
Her origin lies on the planet Alktos, where she belonged to a biological species. Seventeen years prior to the series, she escaped Galfa's destruction of her homeworld, crash-landing on Earth alongside six Data Weapons. Discovered collapsed on a beach, she was rescued, integrated into human society, married Keisuke Kusanagi, and raised Hokuto, all while secretly aiding GEAR's establishment and safeguarding the anti-Galfa super robot, Dendoh.
