Description
Rena, daughter of elite Lord Eat, occupies a privileged position within her dystopian society's ruling class. This status starkly contrasts with the synthetic origins of lower-class individuals like Godo. Defying strict societal prohibitions, Rena becomes romantically involved with Godo. This relationship creates significant conflict with her existing engagement to Rock Holmes, the Chief Science Officer and prime ministerial candidate. Their romance is discovered, leading to a failed elopement attempt. Godo is arrested and sentenced to forced labor in an Icelandic prison camp, while Rena is forcibly separated from him.
Complying with family expectations and her social standing, Rena subsequently marries Rock Holmes. This marriage solidifies Rock's political ambitions, though Rena's personal feelings about the union remain undisclosed. Years later, when Godo returns to Earth with resources for the dying planet, Rena appears publicly alongside Rock during Godo's arrest. During the catastrophic destruction of Earth caused by massive earthquakes, Rena attempts to escape aboard Godo's spaceship. She perishes amidst the global collapse, with the specific details of her death occurring during this disaster. Her character arc is confined to this narrative.
