Shaddiq Zenelli, born Jeru Ogul, was orphaned by war and entered Grassley’s orphanage reeducation program. His adoption by Sarius, CEO of Grassley Defense Systems—a key Benerit Group branch—integrated him into corporate leadership as an executive candidate. At Asticassia School of Technology, he commanded Grassley House as a charismatic, carefree third-year piloting student. He eschewed direct conflict, relying on negotiation and charm to align others with his goals. Beneath this affable facade lay potent political ambitions and a profound disgust for the Benerit Group’s oppression of Earth. Convinced peaceful methods had failed to achieve Earthian-Spacian equality, he embraced ruthless measures.
Operating as "Prince," he recruited fellow Grassley orphans into his faction, pledging to elevate Earth’s status. Five female pilots became his closest collaborators, covertly sharing his Earthian sympathies at Asticassia. He created a shell company to insert Nika Nanaura into the school as a liaison with the Earthian terrorist group Dawn of Fold, funneling them resources to undermine the Benerit Group. His strategies included manipulating school duels—such as officiating matches involving Miorine Rembran and Suletta Mercury—where he permitted rule changes serving his interests. Later, he instigated an Asticassia massacre using Dawn of Fold operatives as a diversion, deliberately endangering students and staff to advance his agenda.
His relationship with Miorine Rembran was complex, rooted in childhood friendship and a joint project terminated by their fathers. Shaddiq harbored enduring romantic feelings, initially aspiring to become her "Holder" for protection. Yet his indecisiveness and preference for behind-the-scenes manipulation prevented decisive action. As his schemes intensified, their bond fractured into direct opposition. He repeatedly placed Miorine in mortal peril during his operations, justifying it as necessary, yet reacted violently when Guel Jeturk threatened her reputation. Miorine ultimately rejected his affections, citing missed opportunities for authentic connection.
In his campaign against the Benerit Group, Shaddiq allied with Dawn of Fold to assault Earth-based facilities. Guel Jeturk exposed his involvement using evidence from an Earthian orphan, culminating in a duel where Guel narrowly triumphed. Captured, Shaddiq accepted full culpability for terrorism and corporate sabotage. He even falsely claimed responsibility for the unrelated Quiet Zero incident to protect his collaborators from prosecution. This led to his imprisonment, ending his crusade to redistribute power to Earth.
Throughout his activities, Shaddiq demonstrated sharp business acumen, regularly attending high-level corporate meetings and debating Benerit politics with Sarius. His Asticassia dueling record stood at seven wins and one loss, reflecting his piloting prowess. Despite his network, he struggled to trust others, frequently executing plans alone and ultimately isolating himself. While he held genuine attachment for his five Grassley collaborators and expressed willingness to face consequences, his readiness to sacrifice allies and employ extreme violence defined his morally ambiguous legacy.
