Description
Romani Archaman rose from his position as head of Chaldea Security Organization’s medical department to acting director after a devastating incident. His origins lay in the 2004 Holy Grail War, where Marisbury Animusphere summoned him as the Grand Caster Solomon using a ring as a catalyst. After securing victory, he surrendered his divine authority via the Holy Grail, erasing his identity as Solomon to rebirth as a mortal—Romani Archaman—devoid of magical circuits, clairvoyance, and supernatural power.

As a human, Romani pursued medicine, joining Chaldea in 2005 as chief medical officer. There, he supervised genetic projects like the Demi-Servant initiative, fusing Mash Kyrielight with the Heroic Spirit Galahad. He named Mash, shielded her from hostile colleagues, and pushed for her recognition as a Master. During the Grand Order crises, Romani covertly mentored Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash through Singularities, hiding his past while managing Chaldea with cautious pragmatism. He frequently consulted an anonymous online strategist, later exposed as Merlin, to compensate for his perceived inadequacies.

Romani’s history as Solomon became pivotal in the Final Singularity against Goetia, who exploited Solomon’s corpse to enact humanity’s incineration. To counter this, Romani reclaimed the ten Rings of Solomon—one concealed beneath a glove—and triggered *Ars Nova*, a Noble Phantasm erasing himself from existence across all timelines, including the Throne of Heroes. This sacrifice halted Goetia but erased Romani’s legacy, leaving no records or memories of his deeds.

Personality contrasts defined him: a self-effacing, humorous exterior veiled deep-seated anxiety and guilt, while an undercurrent of resolve emerged when protecting others. Though he avoided emotional bonds to evade witnessing suffering, he maintained an affable, approachable demeanor. Servants instinctively mistrusted him, sensing his concealed divinity, save those unbound by moral codes. His life as Romani embodied a pursuit of mundane human experiences, culminating in a sacrificial choice that affirmed his autonomy from Solomon’s fate—a final act of agency to define his mortal existence.
