Description
Hiro Hayami is a 15-year-old student at Kakyoin Academy, born October 10th. He cultivates a polished image of politeness and popularity, particularly with female classmates, though this facade frequently relies on calculated deception. His driving ambition to become a successful idol leads him to employ ethically dubious tactics, including theft and manipulation, to secure fame.

His early story centers on a complex dynamic with Kouji Mihama, a former close friend and musical partner. Hiro fixates intensely on Kouji after their planned idol duo debut dissolves. When Kouji withdraws, Hiro seizes Kouji's original song "pride" to advance his solo career. He pressures Ito Suzuno for a song after Kouji's refusal, only to discard her work when Kouji reluctantly offers his own. Hiro solidifies his betrayal during his major debut performance at Dear Crown, publicly claiming full credit as composer and writer for Kouji's song.

A pivotal shift occurs by Episode 45 when Hiro publicly confesses Kouji composed "Pride," facilitating their reconciliation. This paves the way for Hiro, Kouji, and Kazuki Nishina to form the idol group Over The Rainbow in Episode 51, marking a turn towards genuine partnership.

Romantically, Hiro faces rejection from Bell Renjoji, who understands his complexities. In Episode 51, he contemplates a yellow rose – a symbol linked to his concerts where fans traditionally fill venues with them – and confides in Naru Ayase about nursing his broken heart. This shared experience of unrequited love creates a moment of mutual empathy between them.

Regarding family, Hiro returns home and reunites with his unnamed mother, embracing her at their doorstep, suggesting a supportive bond following his emotional journey.

Beyond the main series, Hiro sustains his idol career as part of Over The Rainbow. His performances continue to draw significant female audiences who maintain the tradition of bringing yellow roses to his concerts, with his focus firmly on the group dynamic established at the series' conclusion.
