Description
Hiro Hayami, known as 速水ヒロ, commands overwhelming popularity as an absolute idol, with female fans traditionally showering his performances in yellow roses. Born October 10, 1997, in Tokyo, he endured childhood poverty under a single mother unable to support him, leading to multiple foster homes and church upbringing. After reuniting with his mother in a dilapidated apartment, Kou Norizuki discovered Hiro dancing in a park and secured him a scholarship to Edel Rose Academy. Hiro moved into the Norizuki residence during fourth grade. When Kou departed Japan, Jin Norizuki enforced a strict upbringing that instilled crippling indebtedness, suppressing Hiro’s self-expression.
At Kakyoin Academy, Hiro faced social isolation over perceived Norizuki favoritism until age 13, when defending Mihama Kouji from bullies sparked a friendship. Hiro confided his dream was not Prism Kingship but inspiring hope. Two years later, Jin conditioned their unit "HiroxKoji" on Hiro claiming authorship of Kouji’s song "Pride". Hiro’s compliance drove Kouji from Edel Rose. Desperate to reclaim the song, Hiro manipulated Ito Suzuno to pressure Kouji into relinquishing "Pride", which he performed for his solo debut while losing sight of his ideals.
As Hiro rebelled against Jin’s manipulation, he forfeited a Prism Show battle upon hearing Kouji’s song "Freedom"—its lyrics recalling their past. Kazuki Nishina recognized Hiro’s silent plea, confirming Kouji’s enduring care. When Jin barred female contestants from the Prism Queen Cup, Hiro exposed Jin’s lies publicly and apologized to fans and Kouji. Prepared to retire, Hiro was convinced by Kazuki and Kouji to form Over the Rainbow.
Later, Hiro supported Kouji’s move to America but faced song restrictions from Kouji’s contract. He rejected Kouji’s offer of "Over The Sunshine", choosing "Pride" to fulfill Hijiri Himuro’s dream, until Louis Kisaragi claimed the song’s rights. Songless for the Prism King Cup, Hiro visited Kouji in America, losing a harsh prism duel and returning defeated. With Yu and Ito Suzuno composing a new song, Hiro entered the cup. He risked disqualification performing "Pride" until Kakeru Juuouin secured its rights, enabling Hiro’s victory and Prism King coronation.
Beyond Over the Rainbow, Hiro models and acts in commercials and films like "Yoru no Yoshaman" alongside Naru Ayase. His stage persona, defined by "Absolute Idol, Love N.G", prioritizes fans, contrasting his offstage calmness, humility, and occasional dishonesty with friends. He has honey-blonde hair, bronze eyes, and wears light-blue wristbands matching his unit. Visually impaired, he uses glasses or contacts and bites his thumb or glasses. His surname Hayami (速水) means "fast current"; Hiro (ヒロ) evokes "hero". His official flower remains the yellow rose.
