Description
Hiro Hayami trains as a Prism Star at Edel Rose Academy, confronting significant professional and personal hurdles centered on his signature song, "Pride." When Schwarz Rose acquires the copyrights to "Pride" and registers it under Louis Kisaragi for the Prism King Cup, Hiro faces a critical obstacle: he cannot perform his own song unless Edel Rose pays ¥10 billion, creating both financial and emotional turmoil.
Amidst this conflict, Hiro receives support. Kazuki Nishina appoints Taiga Kougami as his successor while training under Rei Kurokawa. Edel Rose then discovers that Koji Mihama, instrumental in Hiro's musical development, is composing for Schwarz Rose's newest talent, Joji Takadanobaba. This betrayal drives Hiro to travel to the United States and confront Koji directly.
Hiro's resilience is further tested as Edel Rose faces scandals orchestrated by Jin Norizuki, whose jealousy towards former Prism Star Hijiri Himuro stems from Jin's past actions that permanently injured Hijiri's leg and ended his career. Despite this, Hijiri pledges support to Hiro. Hiro's mother and fellow students, including Yu and Ito, also rally behind him, with Yu and Ito providing Hiro another of Koji's songs as a potential replacement for "Pride" in the Prism King Cup.
For the Prism King Cup, Hijiri registers Taiga, Yukinojo Tachibana, and Hiro as competitors. Yukinojo withdraws, requesting Shin Ichijo as his replacement despite Shin's lost ability to perform Prism Jumps. During the Thunder Storm Session, Hiro initially plans to use the alternative song. However, in a defining act of artistic defiance, he chooses to perform "Pride." His performance captivates the audience and moves the Prism Goddess to crown him king. He earns 20,000 karats, tying with Louis Kisaragi, who allows Hiro the victory, securing Edel Rose's triumph. After the event, Koji informs Hiro and Kazuki that his Hollywood contract has ended, paving the way for Over the Rainbow to reunite.
Hiro's journey marks a transition from dependence on others' compositions to reclaiming his artistic identity. Performing "Pride" resolves the copyright conflict and solidifies his status as a leading Edel Rose student. The credits reveal Edel Rose recovering from its scandals, with students advancing in their careers. A post-credits scene shows Hiro participating in Over the Rainbow's performance of "Nijiiro Crown" as they graduate from Edel Rose and Kakyoin Academy.
