Description
Louis Kisaragi, originally designated Rinne, functioned as a prism messenger within the Prism World's Rinne/Shine Program. Rinne guided female prism stars; Shine assisted male prism stars. When Shine violated protocol by performing public prism shows, the Prism G.O.D.s commanded Rinne to eliminate him. Driven by romantic feelings, Rinne instead sealed Shine using a prism jump. This defiance caused Rinne to develop errors, resulting in data erasure by the Prism G.O.D.s.

Reprogrammed into the Louis program with the mission to eliminate the reemerged Shine within Shin Ichijo, Louis retained past-life memories and rejected the mission. Crossing a thousand years to find Shin, Louis joined Schwarz Rose Academy under Jin Norizuki, becoming both a prism star and student. Louis initially believed affection for Shin stemmed solely from Shine's presence within him, but later recognized the feelings were directed at Shin himself, distinct from the past connection to Shine.

Physically, Louis possesses platinum blonde hair reaching the neck, golden eyes, and an androgynous appearance often described as angelic or otherworldly. Standing 172 cm tall, Louis presents a mysterious, beautiful figure. Personality traits include calmness, kindness, and overt affection toward Shin, contrasted by jealousy when Shin interacts with others. This demeanor differs from Rinne's more serious, duty-focused nature.

Prism performances feature songs including "Pride -Louis Ver.-", "Lunatic Destiny", "Starved for You" (with Alexander Yamato), "Silent Promise", and "I Know Shangri-La". Prism jumps encompass "Starlight Kiss", "Absolute Idol: I Love You", "Bloom-Bloom-Blooming Love Flowers", "Whispering Lunamystic Heaven", and "Fluttering Rainbow Tail". During "Pride the Hero" events, Louis destroyed prism wings to remain on Earth permanently with Shin, defying the Prism World.

A significant emotional progression occurred when Louis wrote a letter to Shin expressing loneliness, arranging a meeting under a strawberry moon to share the song "Gift" as an emotional conduit. Louis also confided that seeing Shin alleviated fatigue, highlighting deepening attachment. In "Shiny Seven Stars IV", Louis confronted Shine during a prism show performance of "I Know Shangri-La". Shine overpowered Louis and revealed that eliminating him would erase Shin's prism jump abilities and related memories. This confrontation solidified Louis' resolve to protect Shin independently of past ties to Shine.

The surname Kisaragi (如月) references February in the Japanese calendar, aligning with Louis' February 29 birthday. The katakana spelling ルヰ (Rui) uses an obsolete character for "wi/i", and the name Louis derives from French, meaning "famous battle". Louis favors milk as a beverage.
