Ellie grew up in Burg village with her close friend Lena. Recruited at age 13 by Glen for the Magic School of Ien due to her innate magical talents, she commands natural flight and aptitude across multiple magical disciplines. Though a quiet leader among peers with a friendly demeanor, Ellie can sometimes act without inhibition and remains unobservant of others' feelings, particularly romantic affections directed her way, contrasting Lena's forthright nature.

At the school, Ellie studies cosmetic magic under Professor Dadis, learning to enhance natural magical abilities using pigments and makeup. She interacts with fellow students including Brown, the Student Body President who harbors feelings for her, and Blade, who exhibits protectiveness.

Ellie is one of three students chosen for a critical mission when classmates are kidnapped by Barua of the Vile Tribe, acting under Memphis's orders. During the mission, Ellie, Lena, and Senia encounter a mysterious winged cat. Unaware the creature initially clings to her back, Ellie suffers allergic reactions. Confronting Memphis and Barua at their fortress, the trio finds their magic insufficient. A pivotal moment occurs when Ellie, sensing the winged cat pressed against her, feels a powerful surge of energy erupt from within, enabling her to break Barua's magical restraints. This surge coincides with the cat's transformation into the legendary Blue Dragon. Empowered by the dragon's energy, Ellie and her companions overcome Barua and resolve the crisis.
