Description
Yomi reigns as the primary antagonist, leading the Oracle cult to impose peace through stagnation. His origins trace to harnessing the power of Shangri-La, Climax of "Cruelty" for control, inadvertently causing societal stagnation that ignited the Outrage rebellion. Initially depicted as benevolent in flashbacks, personally protecting believers, his portrayal shifts to ruthless and manipulative in the present, particularly toward his successor and possible son, Izumo.

He first confronts Katta Kirifuda over the Book of Outrage in episode 9, asserting his humanity while claiming divine status as the "greatest of God Nova." His strategic manipulations include hiring Puramai Rei as a masked duelist and orchestrating conflicts through proxies. After losing to Katta in episode 16, he disappears, triggering the Oracle organization's collapse. Later revelations expose his cold relationship with executives like Detroit Techno and Brahmin, who harbored hatred despite their service.

Critical episode 38 flashbacks show Yomi entrusting Izumo with the Book of Oracle before battling the Outrage army. This book reveals the interdimensional transport of Oracles and Outrages to Earth via the "dimension reactor," enabling their human forms. Zorro Star revives him in episode 49 using the Rage Crystal and Oracle Jewel. Yomi then rules a dystopian future where he brainwashes Katta's allies, only to be foiled by Puramai Rei's immunity and the united Exile Creatures. His final duel against Katta in episode 50 ends with the destruction of his Crossover Yomi, New Sacred God form, erasing his existence.

The manga reveals him and Katsudon as extraterrestrial beings, identifying Yomi as the former owner of the Rage Crystal. He abducts Katta and Katsudon via UFO to reclaim the crystal but is defeated, enabling their escape. Post-defeat, he resurfaces as Yomi, Humanity Left God in later events, showcasing adaptability and persistence.

His deck strategy revolves around a five-civilization (Light, Water, Darkness, Nature, Zero) God Nova archetype, centering on himself. Key components include Pearljam, Faerie Left God for mana acceleration and Strokes, Explosive Right God for clearing smaller creatures. His "arms," Justice, Elemental Left God and Daft Punk, Demon Right God, facilitate spellcasting and God Nova linking. Later incarnations like Crossover Yomi, New Sacred God and Yomi, Humanity Left God offer abilities like shield protection or summoning other God Novas, though high costs and situational utility limit competitive use.

His defining duality persists: historical accounts and flashbacks depict a protective leader, while present actions reveal ambition and cruelty, especially in manipulating Izumo and pursuing absolute control. This extends to his final act of shielding Izumo from Katsumugen, Climax's attack, indicating residual loyalty despite their fraught dynamic.
