OVA
Description
Miyabi, a third-year student and leader of the Elite Class at Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, has a lightly tanned complexion and short, scruffy white pixie-cut hair that creates a boyish look, contrasting sharply with her revealing attire: a high-collared coat exposing cleavage, yellow panties, thigh-high stockings, and white boots. This dichotomy leads others to perceive her as masculine, irritating her deeply.

Her childhood trauma stems from sneaking into forbidden woods with friend Imu, where a youma attack brutally killed Miyabi’s mother. This event scarred her psychologically, fueling a desire for vengeance that drove her enrollment at Hebijo Academy to gain power against youma without moral constraints.

Three years prior, Miyabi attempted the forbidden Ninja Art "Blood Riot" during a mission, drawing power from bloodshed within a Shinobi Barrier. She lost control, causing catastrophic deaths—including Ryouki, sister of students Ryoubi and Ryouna, whom Miyabi killed mercifully to prevent youma infection. The incident left Miyabi comatose with severe memory loss. She remained vegetative until witnessing Hebijo’s destruction during Orochi’s attack, which spurred her recovery. Despite muscle atrophy, she regained mobility, committing to rebuild Hebijo and restore its honor.

Personality-wise, Miyabi exhibits pride, seriousness, and unwavering confidence, rarely smiling beyond confident smirks while maintaining a no-nonsense demeanor. She deeply cares for friends, especially Imu, her coma caretaker. Miyabi struggles with identity conflicts as others treat her like a "handsome man" or romantic interest due to her appearance, causing distress. She seeks peers’ advice on appearing feminine but faces unintentional offense, like Ikaruga adjusting her outfit into a "perfect gentleman," heightening frustration.

In the OVA *Senran Kagura: Estival Versus – Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits*, Miyabi visits a spa resort with Hebijo students after Ryouna acquires tickets. A truce between rival academies breaks when Homura taunts her about "pretending to be in high school," nearly provoking a fight. Miyabi later competes in a water cavalry battle to resolve tensions, showcasing competitive pride. The battle ends in a draw, and she unites with all factions against a surprise Kuroku enemy attack.

Her Abyssal Mode transformation, triggered by youma influence, reflects inner turmoil: black wings, black hair with a white streak, red eyes, and a facial tattoo symbolize her struggle against dark urges from the Blood Riot incident.

Miyabi and Imu share a complex bond rooted in trauma. Imu remains devoted, hoping Miyabi recalls their pre-coma romantic feelings, though Miyabi’s memories are fragmented. Gradually, Miyabi opens up emotionally, showing vulnerability—like embarrassment when accidentally revealing she once called her mother "mama."
