Saki Shindō (alternatively romanized as Shindou Saki or Shito Saki) attends the academy as a founding member of an unofficial witchcraft club with close friends Hiroko Takashiro and Rie Morita. She features short brown hair and green eyes, typically wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, brown skirt with a belt, black pantyhose, and a purple collar necklace during leisure, contrasting her ritual black robes.

Saki displays an impulsive, confrontational nature, consistently pushing for aggressive magical applications. She openly mocks student council members like Nami Kozono and Junko Mochida when they disband the club, eagerly suggesting a humiliation spell against Mochida after their application rejection. Her volatile temper drives threats of similar retaliation toward Kozono. Unlike hesitant Rie, Saki dismisses concerns about magical consequences, demanding immediate action.

Her journey initiates when Rie uncovers a mysterious grimoire, which Saki helps translate. She joins in burying an enchanted stone targeting Mochida, causing Mochida’s public masturbation during a school assembly. Later, Saki collaborates on profitable love spells, including one coercing Kozono into obsession with unpopular student Seiichi Hiratani. This expands the club’s influence, formalizing it as "Rose Cross" in the school basement after negotiations with Kozono.

Saki’s loyalty wavers in power pursuits. After a failed ritual summons a demon that rapes Takashiro, Saki and Rie submit to Kozono’s leadership despite shock. During Walpurgis Night, when Takashiro tries intervening with warnings, Saki assists in forcibly restraining and expelling her former friend under Kozono’s command.

Amid chaos in the final ritual’s failed summoning, Kozono murders Saki by beheading her with a ritual sword. Her death occurs as Rie searches the grimoire for solutions, and Saki’s blood permanently stains the book.

A minor depiction discrepancy exists: an original-series flashback initially showed altered visuals, corrected in remastered editions. Concept art hints at early plans for an erotic scene involving her. Chronologically, she remains among the few named female characters never depicted in sexual acts.

Saki shares her first name with later character Saki Kiriya, though they are distinct individuals.
