Description
Fifteen-year-old AI relocates solo from Fukuoka to Tokyo, driven by a promise to her mother to become a professional singer – a dream her mother once held but could not achieve. Carrying both their aspirations, AI enrolls in a Tokyo high school despite financial strain and her mother's declining health. An early setback occurs when her talent agency dismisses her. Undeterred, she commits to performing 1,000 street concerts in Shibuya to refine her skills and build an audience.

Her perseverance captures the attention of a young marketing company president and his student business seminar group. Impressed by her dedication, they offer organizational and promotional support, aiding her through challenges and helping plan larger performances. AI sets a significant new goal: performing at a major Shibuya music hall. As preparations intensify, her mother's unspecified illness worsens, deepening the emotional stakes.

The support from the student group blossoms into closer friendships. Izumi Umesawa provides sisterly guidance, while Fumito Nakai assists with music negotiations. An elderly homeless man in a Tokyo park also becomes an unexpected mentor, offering wisdom about life's values beyond mere success. AI's journey centers on balancing her artistic integrity with personal ambition, navigating loss, and embracing communal support. Her story culminates in the Shibuya hall performance, symbolizing the realization of her efforts and the collective faith in her talent.
