Description
Akari Yashima is a brown-haired female high school freshman. Her parents' frequent absence during childhood meant her older sister became her primary caregiver. This sister, a dedicated travel enthusiast, profoundly influenced Akari, instilling in her a deep-seated desire to travel herself. The sister's passion left a lasting impact, fundamentally shaping Akari's motivations and interests.

Characterized as quiet and reserved, Akari often carries an air of mystery perceived by others. She approaches travel with intense focus on reaching specific destinations, reflecting a serious and goal-oriented mindset. On her first high school summer trip to Kyoto—a journey tied to places her sister visited—this single-mindedness initially clashes with her classmate Nagi Kitayama's contrasting, immersive sightseeing approach. Nagi's determined focus on experiencing the journey fully and creating memories gradually begins to shift Akari's perspective.

Despite initial internal disappointment, Akari adapts to Nagi's pace over time. As they explore Kyoto's scenic locations, Akari becomes increasingly engaged with the travel experience itself, moving beyond her original fixation on the destination. This shift leads her to recognize the inherent value in the journey's process. Reaching their intended destination marks a significant point in her development.

Her personality and backstory, particularly her parents' absence and her sister's formative influence, remain integral to the travel narrative, continuing to shape her actions and growth.
