Miyu Tomita
Description
Miyu Tomita is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on November 15, 1999, in Saitama Prefecture. Her interest in voice acting began during elementary school after watching the anime Vampire Knight, which led her to admire voice actor Mamoru Miyano. She is affiliated with the talent agency Amuse and releases music under the Nippon Columbia label.
Tomita's career started after she won the Grand Prix at the 2014 Voice Artist Development Program Selection and was scouted by Amuse during the first Ani-tan audition. She made her voice acting debut in 2015 with a minor role in the series Himouto! Umaru-chan. Her first leading role came in 2016 when she was cast as Yume Nijino in the long-running franchise Aikatsu Stars!.
Since her debut, Tomita has become known for a wide range of roles, often portraying characters with high-pitched and energetic voices. Some of her most notable and acclaimed performances include Riko in the adventure fantasy series Made in Abyss and Miko Iino in the popular romantic comedy Kaguya-sama: Love is War. Her role as the titular fallen angel Gabriel White Tenma in Gabriel DropOut was also an early career milestone.
Her filmography includes a diverse array of characters across many genres. She has voiced Chuatury "Chuchu" Panlunch in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, Crimvael in Interspecies Reviewers, Rizu Ogata in We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, Karane Inda in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, and Sophie Twilight in Ms. vampire who lives in my neighborhood. She has also appeared in franchise titles such as Overlord IV, Dorohedoro, and A Certain Scientific Railgun T.
In addition to her anime work, Tomita is active in video games. Her game roles include New Jersey in Azur Lane, Sandzuka Akira in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, Shimiko in Blue Archive, and Kafka in Arknights.
Tomita expanded her career into music, making her solo singing debut on November 13, 2019, with the single Present Moment. She has performed multiple theme songs for anime series, including the opening theme OveR for Date A Live IV. She has also been part of singing groups formed for specific series, such as Study for We Never Learn: BOKUBEN and Kleissis, a seven-woman unit formed in 2018.
Her skills and hobbies include drawing illustrations, playing video games, and karate, in which she holds a black belt. She has two younger brothers. Looking ahead, she is set to voice the character Yaeka Kitamori in the upcoming anime Kamiina Botan, Yoheru Sugata Wa Yuri No Hana, which is scheduled to premiere in April 2026.
