ONA
Description
Anzu is a character from the anime short Jigglypuff's Song. She is a girl who is an acquaintance of the main character, Momo, and also owns her own Jigglypuff. Anzu initially appears as a rival figure, using her own Jigglypuff's singing ability to tease and provoke Momo. She confidently praises her Pokémon's wonderful singing voice and asserts that all Jigglypuff love to sing, which creates doubt in Momo's Jigglypuff, who struggles with its own voice. This teasing causes Momo's Jigglypuff to lose its confidence and flee from the situation.

In terms of personality, Anzu comes across as confident and perhaps a bit boastful about her own Pokémon's talents, but she is not portrayed as malicious. Her actions seem to stem from a lack of understanding rather than genuine cruelty. After her initial teasing, she encounters Momo again a few days later and once more shows off her Jigglypuff's skills. However, her role in the story shifts when Momo's Jigglypuff finally finds its own unique voice and sings a powerful rock version of its song. Although Anzu is initially repulsed by the different style of music from Momo's Jigglypuff, her attitude changes over time.

Anzu's primary motivation appears to be a simple childhood desire to show off and be correct in her assertion that her Jigglypuff is talented. She is not a villain but serves as a catalyst for the main conflict of the story. Her presence forces Momo's Jigglypuff to confront its insecurities and ultimately discover its own unique style of singing. The key relationship in the story is between Anzu and Momo. Their dynamic evolves from one of teasing and conflict to friendship. As days pass, the two girls become friends and regularly get together to listen to the melody of Momo's Jigglypuff. A recurring effect of these listening sessions is that the song ends up causing both girls to fall asleep.

Anzu shows clear development from a teasing rival to a supportive friend. Her initial repulsion to Momo's Jigglypuff's music gives way to acceptance and appreciation, leading to their newfound friendship. Regarding notable abilities, Anzu does not demonstrate any personal special skills. Her only notable ability is that she owns and can command a Jigglypuff. This Jigglypuff is her only known Pokémon and its only known move is Sing, which it uses to perform its melody.
