Description
Yamato Noda is a first-year high school student in class 1-C and the team leader of the school's Hero Club. He has a highly energetic and enthusiastic personality, blue hair, and large grey-blue eyes. He is often seen wearing a shirt with "Noda" written on it, blue shorts, and a white and red cap.

Yamato embraces strong chuunibyou tendencies, believing himself to be a hero destined to save the world. He refers to himself as "Red" and trains daily for this self-proclaimed role. He assigns color-based codenames to other club members, frequently calling them by these names instead of their real ones, such as "Pink" for Mizuki Hijiri, "Yellow" for Tomoki Takashima, "Black" for Kazuhiro Nakamura, "Purple" for Rei Tsukumo, and "Green" for Futaba Mikuriya.

His primary interests are live-action superhero shows, especially the fictional series "Bakuengers," a parody of "Boukengers," which is also featured on his pencil case. He also expresses fondness for "Ulftraman," a parody of "Ultraman." He often uses the catchphrase, "Be released, my searchlight."

Very athletic, Yamato uses his physical abilities to help others in dramatic ways. On Mizuki Hijiri's first day, he attempted to protect her from a falling basketball backboard and sustained a minor leg injury. He participates in club activities aimed at assisting students, such as helping Nanako Watase with a stalker by conducting surveillance at a mall.

He shares a close bond with Tomoki Takashima, whom he frequently supports. His relationships with club members are marked by loyalty and camaraderie. Though well-intentioned, his exuberant nature can lead him to overlook social cues, as when his enthusiastic introduction disturbed Mizuki Hijiri. He views Rei Tsukumo as being obsessed with cats and sees Kazuhiro Nakamura as a kindred spirit due to their shared chuunibyou beliefs.

His given name, Yamato, means "big, great" and "harmony, peace," while his surname, Noda, means "field, wilderness" and "field, rice paddy."
