Description
Momo Chiyoda, a 15-year-old magical girl of the Light Clan and first-year student at Sakuragaoka High School, stands 166cm tall with light pink hair, teal eyes, and fair skin. She typically wears her school uniform with a pale yellow jacket or simple T-shirts. Her "Fresh Peach" magical transformation features a pink-and-white frilly costume with pigtails and a heart-shaped staff, enabling signature moves like "Fresh Peach Heart Shower".
Born in an Eastern European conflict zone, she was orphaned and designated "Operation 27". Sakura Chiyoda rescued her, became her adoptive older sister, named her "Momo" (peach), and suppressed her traumatic memories. This past involved unexplained battles leaving scars on her arms and left side. After Sakura disappeared ten years prior, Momo lived alone in Sakura’s house, continuing her magical girl duties while battling depression and a loss of motivation.
Initially stoic and socially awkward, Momo masks deep emotional vulnerability, revealing her true self only to close companions. She exhibits laziness with household chores and academics despite high intelligence, is terrible at cooking, and relies on convenience store meals. Her passions include muscle training, collecting cute merchandise like the mascot "Tamasakura-chan" (resembling Sakura), and sewing to repair battle-damaged costumes. She holds long grudges, flusters easily under criticism, and denies her love for adorable things.
Her abilities center on immense physical strength—crushing dynamometers, running 50 meters in 3 seconds, and healing broken bones in days—even untransformed. As a magical girl, she gains enhanced speed and healing, wields the "Heartful Peach Morphing Stick," and creates defensive magic circles. After partially falling into darkness to aid Yuko Yoshida (Shamiko), she gains an unstable "Darkness Peach" form: a black, revealing outfit with a katana, emerging during profound sadness or frustration. This form leaks uncontrollable magic, risking her life unless calmed through emotional support.
Momo’s development revolves around her relationship with Yuko, whom she initially trains as a rival but grows to protect and emotionally rely on. She moves into Yuko’s apartment building for companionship and regular meals, gradually overcoming depression through their bond. Romantic feelings for Yuko manifest in jealousy over gifts, shared umbrella walks, and anxiety about Yuko’s safety. She also negotiates peace with entities like Ugallu (the spirit behind Mikan Hinatsuki’s curse), reflecting her growth from isolation to trusting friendships. By confronting her past and stabilizing her light-dark magic imbalance with Yuko’s help, she commits to safeguarding the town alongside her.
