OVA
Description
Puck, an artificial spirit crafted by Echidna roughly 400 years ago, initially manifested in humanoid form before undergoing a transformation. He ascended to become one of the Four Great Spirits, earning the title "Beast of the End" after defeating the former fire spirit, Melakuera. Seven years before the main narrative, Puck discovered Emilia frozen within Elior Forest. Utilizing his absolute zero abilities, he freed her from the ice, forging a contract that sealed portions of their memories. This pact established Puck as Emilia's guardian and father figure, leading him to affectionately call her "Lia" or "my daughter."

In daily life, Puck most often appears as a small, nine-centimeter-tall feline with light grey fur and bright aqua eyes. He typically displays a playful and cheerful demeanor, especially around Emilia or Beatrice. However, Emilia's death triggers a drastic shift; he becomes hostile and capable of unleashing global destruction to fulfill a vow with the Witch of Greed. Puck also possesses telepathic communication abilities, notably maintaining contact with Beatrice across dimensions.

During the "Memory Snow" events, Puck's excessive mana release during the cyclical "Hatsumaki" phase plunged the area around Roswaal Manor into severe cold. This unintentional weather shift forced Subaru and the residents to postpone activities and devise solutions. Puck openly acknowledged causing the temperature drop, explaining he increased his magical exertion believing it manageable. Subaru resolved the crisis by organizing a snow festival where Puck participated, sculpting snow figures and playfully dumping snow on him. The OVA also references Puck's past battle with Roswaal, humorously noted for its massive scale requiring map revisions.

Puck wields formidable magical power, specializing in fire and ice-based spells. His signature abilities include freezing targets to absolute zero and conjuring ice constructs like the curse-based "Ice Flower." As a Great Spirit, he uniquely absorbs mana directly from living beings, a trait shared only with Beatrice. When sufficiently powered, he undergoes "Star Beastification," transforming into a 20-meter-tall beast that drains environmental mana, causing widespread freezing. His combat prowess allows him to rival powerful entities like Roswaal, whom he once fought to a standstill.

Puck shares a close bond with Beatrice, treating her with playful teasing and protective concern. Their history traces back to mutual creation by Echidna and involvement in events centuries prior, like aiding Toska against Silver Dragons. His relationship with Roswaal fluctuates between camaraderie and tension, rooted in their past conflict and occasional collaborations. After Arc 4, Puck severed his contract with Emilia to unseal her memories. This act depleted his power, forcing him into dormancy within a glintstone.
