Description
Anne is a first-class bookman for the World Gourmet Organization. She serves as an impartial judge during the Régiment de Cuisine at Tōtsuki Culinary Institute, overseeing the battle between Central and the rebel forces. She insists on tasting dishes before delivering decisions and stops premature ridicule to ensure fair judgment. Anne has exceptionally long, dark hair reaching her knees and wears a white frilly long-sleeved top, a dark layered skirt with white frill accents, and black slippers. Her personality includes a slightly mischievous and condescending streak, as seen when she teases Soma Yukihira about his family restaurant not being in WGO records. She possesses a near-eidetic memory, allowing precise recall of WGO archive information, though she struggles with idioms such as "the proof is in the pudding" and needs to consult her books. Anne has extremely low alcohol tolerance, becoming intoxicated after a small amount of potent, undiluted sake, and her tasting abilities may heighten in that state. She trained under fellow WGO members Decora and Courage. When Azami Nakiri tries to replace the judges with Decora and Courage, Anne refuses to step down, showing her growth from a timid trainee into an assertive authority. During the BLUE tournament, she represents the WGO and oversees preliminary challenges where contestants must pass three culinary trial gates, including creating a worthy last supper for an elderly former Noir chef, cooking high-value dishes with only convenience store ingredients, and impressing top WGO judges. The Bookmaster, revealed to be Mana Nakiri, declares that the winner will become her personal chef. Throughout, Anne's role remains primarily observational and evaluative, upholding WGO standards in high-stakes culinary battles.
