Nanayama holds the role of assistant director at television station TV Na Na Na, operating within an expedition team alongside director Nanaoka and cameraman Nanamori. This team earned major recognition for documenting the legendary monster Kiina but later failed to generate additional successful content. Following the acquisition of TV Na Na Na by streaming service Nanazon Prime Video and ensuing mass layoffs, Nanayama’s job security—alongside his teammates’—faces imminent threat. To safeguard their positions, the expedition team initiates a new venture: a live-televised quest to uncover the buried treasure of the Banakawa residence. This project constitutes a high-stakes endeavor to prove their ongoing value to the network.
