Description
Cancer was orphaned and raised at a martial arts dojo in China, enduring relentless bullying from fellow students while fiercely determined to bolster the dojo’s standing. His sensei treated him like a son, yet Cancer nursed deepening bitterness over his orphaned roots. When the Decepticons arrived on Earth, he seized their offer as a path to strength and recognition, eagerly embracing the "tough guy" role and discovering an unexpected family under Giga and Mega’s command.

As a Decepticon Headmaster Junior, Cancer bonded with a Transtector—a bipedal, crab-like robot body—unlocking transformation and combat capabilities. He mastered the martial arts technique "Chōryūken" (Super Dragon Fist), earning Mega’s admiration as she assumed a maternal role. His closest allies were fellow Headmaster Juniors Wilder and Bullhorn. Later, Mega gifted him Browning, a small gun Transformer who loyally followed Cancer’s orders and addressed him as "boss."

Cancer fought in multiple Decepticon operations: urban assaults, kidnappings, and campaigns to eliminate the Autobot Godmaster Ginrai. During a mission to capture Ginrai, Autobots imprisoned Cancer. Minerva, an Autobot Headmaster Junior, tended his injuries with kindness despite his hostility. Though initially wary, Cancer ultimately accepted her compassion, divulging Godmaster intelligence to the Autobots—igniting his moral conflict.

As Decepticon tactics turned increasingly destructive, Cancer grew disillusioned. He intervened to save Minerva when the Decepticon Buster threatened her life, openly pleading against needless violence. His turmoil intensified upon learning of Decepticon plans to attack his hometown. Racing there in his Transtector to warn residents, he watched them flee in terror. There, he confronted Chang, an old dojo friend, forcing a reckoning with his past and choices.

In the final battle against Devil Z and BlackZarak, Devil Z’s energy blast severed Cancer and other Headmaster Juniors from their Transtectors. The Transtectors gained independent sentience, retaining Cancer’s personality, and rejoined the Decepticons. Cancer’s living Transtector departed Earth to continue the war under Overlord’s command in the G Nebula 89 conflict. The human Cancer’s ultimate fate after this separation is not detailed in available media.
