Description
Nao Nanao, a first-year student at Kuzuryū High, serves as the spirited manager of the basketball team. Her 144 cm frame, medium-length blonde hair, and bright blue eyes complement her cheerful, energetic presence. Raised in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, her family’s sports goods store, *Sports Nanao*, sparked her early basketball interest. She shares her life with a younger brother, Satoru, and a cousin, Tarou Kabachi, a player for Kitasumi High’s team.

Though her own basketball journey ended early due to her diminutive stature and accident-prone tendencies, she channeled her passion into management. During junior high, she managed her school’s team alongside collaborator Madoka Yabuchi, honing a sharp tactical mind. Her ability to dissect opponents’ flaws, exemplified by outmaneuvering Kuzuryū’s boys’ team in a practice match, earned praise from coaches like Koga and Sakamaki, cementing her reputation as a strategic force.

A devoted music enthusiast drawn to rock’s raw energy, she plays guitar as a part-time member of the school’s music club, favoring bands like the pillows, BUMP OF CHICKEN, and Green Day. She further supports her team by crafting meals during training camps, showcasing her culinary talents.

Her interactions thrive on candid communication, openly addressing issues like overreliance on individual talent. She balances encouragement with constructive critique, rooted in her conviction that teamwork trumps solo prowess. Her name—combining characters for “seven,” “tail,” “apple tree,” and “thread”—subtly mirrors her ethos, evoking ideals of integrity and respect woven into her supportive yet forthright approach.
