Description
Diamond Queen, originally named Emerald Queen, was heir to the Emerald Kingdom. Her parents perished in a fire orchestrated by a traitor (Professor Clover in the anime), leading to her adoption by the phantom thief Silver Heart, who concealed her royal lineage. She trained alongside Joker and Spade at the Phantom Thief Academy, graduating as a professional phantom thief.
Early in her career, Professor Clover manipulated her into believing Silver Heart murdered her parents. This drove her to attack Silver Heart, leaving him gravely injured and presumed dead. She later uncovered the truth with Joker's help, reconciling with Silver Heart and severing ties with Clover. Her physical prowess and preference for direct action over gadgets set her apart. She wielded a diamond sword capable of slicing through nearly anything, including vehicles, and sometimes used playing cards as projectiles.
Her personality blended fierce determination with moments of emotional vulnerability. She exhibited a strong will during thefts but also displayed sensibility, such as mediating conflicts between Joker and Spade. She struggled with domestic chores like cooking and cleaning, frequently relying on her assistant Roko. Her deep love for jewelry necessitated conscious restraint to prevent impulsive theft.
In Season 2, Episode 15 ("The Secret Gourmet Party"), she and Roko attempted to steal the Rainbow Peacock Egg. During the mission, they overindulged in food, resulting in significant weight gain. They persisted in their theft efforts until Joker intervened, after which they followed strict exercise and dietary regimens. During Season 3, Episode 28 ("Phoenix and a New Companion"), she collaborated with Joker and Spade to locate the "God-Beast" treasure. They faced trials and confronted the alien Phoenix, ultimately working as a team to succeed.
In the manga sequel *Kaitou Boy Jokers*, set 20 years later, she married Joker and bore two children: a son named J and an unnamed baby daughter. She disappeared prior to the sequel's storyline. Her son J trained under Hachi to become a phantom thief, while Joker and their daughter searched for treasures in space aboard Phoenix's spaceship.
