His design is modeled directly after Dr. Pochi from Go Nagai's *Kikkai-kun* manga. Though first portrayed as mischief-makers, this trio eventually befriends both Tickle and Chiko. Pochi is an ever-present figure alongside Donta and Ago, their collective role cemented as schoolchildren whose disruptive antics give way to their integration into the main friend group.
