Description
Pochi, an alligator under Mitsuki Sawatari’s care, originated from an egg she claimed after his parents were euthanized for attacking her. This incident compelled Mitsuki and her sister Izumi to flee their home, seeking shelter in Yoshitaka Nakabayashi’s mansion, where Pochi’s presence became pivotal to their decision to remain.

Notoriously lecherous, Pochi directs persistent, unwelcome advances toward Izumi. His anime portrayal amplifies this aggression, contrasting with the manga’s slightly restrained—though still mischievous—depiction. Despite his antics, the narrative emphasizes that Pochi values Mitsuki and Izumi as individuals, differentiating him from Yoshitaka’s objectifying tendencies.

The manga humorously redesigns Pochi from a lifelike alligator in early volumes to a round, cartoonish figure, with in-universe jokes attributing his plump shape to “overindulgence.” Mitsuki’s refusal to leave the mansion without him underscores his significance in anchoring the sisters’ residency.

Pochi’s interactions fuel comedic chaos, including participation in Mitsuki’s absurd challenges. His consistent aversion to males and unabashed preference for females generate both conflict and humor, cementing his role as a dynamic, if troublesome, fixture in the series.
